Time To Plan For 2014 Party Tray Sales

Today is September 10th.  There are 86 days left before Thanksgiving.

So, it’s time to prepare your plans for selling Holiday Season party trays. This includes fruit trays, Deli Meat trays, Cheese trays and gift baskets. If you haven’t developed your 2014 party tray plan for the holiday season – today is a good time to start your planning.

This week’s Idea of the Week touches on different medias to help you promote your party trays this winter.

Use multiple media channels to promote your Party Trays

1.  Store video on Youtube.com promoting your party trays

2.  Traditional Print media (poster) to promote your party trays:

Print media is the easiest way to communicate your Holiday Season party tray offerings.  If your food wholesaler’s advertising department or your print design firm don’t have pre-designed templates to use for Holiday Season party trays, let us know and we can help you.

However, it doesn’t take much to have 22″ x 28″ party tray reminders designed and printed for display in your store.  Ask to have the poster mounted on foam-core or gator-board so you can save it for display next year.

No need to try to incorporate your pricing into the poster, it’s just a reminder to your customers and your Deli department can have price lists available to share with interested customers.

3.  Promote party trays on your website:

Here’s some example ideas for promoting party trays on your website:

You can promote your holiday party trays online at your website.  If you’re a retailer with a MSC designed custom website (WordPress) we can add an online module to allow your customers pre-order and pre-pay for holiday party trays (like the example above).

If you’re a retailer with a MSC designed website (templates) we can add your pricing information and holiday party tray choices on your website as well. The real benefit of promoting your holiday party trays online is that you can post a PDF so your customers can print the brochure at home if they wish.

4.  Promote party trays on your FaceBook site

If you’re planning on using your FaceBook site to promote your holiday party trays this winter, you have plenty of time prior to posting the postings but it’s not too early to organize the campaign so you can kick it off November 1st and continually promote it through New Years.

Here’s some examples of ways that retailers promote their holiday party trays on FaceBook.
