Until now, if you wanted a “rush” text message to be sent out in less than 4 days, you’d pay us a “rush” fee to expedite your text message order.
Unfortunately, if you wanted to send out an immediate text message on Saturday or Sunday, you’d have to order it by Monday for the next coming Saturday or Sunday. NOW, you can go to Service Desk anytime you wish and process a “self-generated” text message and you can now do so on the same day if you wish —- with no “rush” penalties. You pay the same $10 fee with no rush charges.
The Text Message Challenge- Win $100 Credit from MSC:
Our Customer Service Reps (CSR’s) see some pretty creative text messages from our customers. We’ve got a Text Message challenge during April. To enter the contest all you need to do is to send out text messages to your customers and you’re entered into the challenge.
Our CSR’s (Paul, Michael and Nick) will review all the text messages that are processed during the month of April. They’ll select what they believe is the best text message sent out during April based on the following criteria:
1. Most likely to cause the text message recipient to “drop everything and get to their store asap” to take advantage of the text promotion.
2. Creativity in selecting a unique promotion that might cause a text message recipient to show others the text message based on the creative offer.
If you win the Text Message Challenge:
If your text message promotion is selected as the challenge winner, you’ll receive a $100 credit toward your next 10 text message promotions.
We’ll share some of the finalist promotional ideas as well as the challenge winner.

If you’re not on our Text Messaging program you can receive an immediate $50 credit from MSC toward the setup of your new Text Message program. You will only receive the $50 credit toward your new text message program if you contact our CSR’s (Michael, Paul or Nick) NO LATER THAN THIS FRIDAY AT NOON – CST.

Here’s the details on our new “Self Generated” text message program:
We are now offering our SMS Text Message customers a new option that allows you to send out a “self-generated” text message – whenever you want to. With this new option you can arrive at the store at 7 am and if store traffic is slower than usual that day, you can IMMEDIATELY send out a text message promotion to drive traffic to your store in minutes or hours —– not days or a week.
Studies show that open rates on SMS text messages have a 98%+ open rate. The average for Emails is at 22% so it’s clear that if you send a SMS text promotion, you have a better likelihood of a response in terms of open rate and a better opportunity for an immediate “call to action”.
If you’re already on the MSC Text Message program and have been sending out messages through our Service Desk – you can continue to use that same service if you wish.
If you’re already on the MSC Text Message program and want to send out a “self-generated” text message on your own schedule, you can process a SMS text promotional alert right now if you wish.
Step 1: Here’s the notice that announces our new Self Generated Text Message Program
Step 2: Go to Service Desk
Now when you go to Service Desk you’ll notice a new icon for Text Alerts. Just click on the Text Alerts link to begin processing your own Self Generated Text Message.
Step 3: Complete the Text Message Order Form on Service Desk
Next, select the date and time you want your text message promo to be sent out. In this example (below), the message will start at 8 am. You’ll also need to select the date and time you want the message to stop sending, in case you have new subscribers who signup for your program after you’ve already started sending out the text promotions.
You’ll be able to see your submitted requests on your Service Desk under the “My Requests” tab at the top. If you decide to cancel the promotion before it is sent out, you’ll need to click on the “delete” button on the far right hand side of the screen.
